Development of aviation technology, on the one hand brings aviation military equipment increased automation, digital interface has been widely used in large and complex systems. On the other hand, compared with advanced equipment, People are vulnerable to interference, complex and mutable, so human factor have become an important consideration to improve the stability of the interface system. Therefore this study explores how to make the complex information system designed to meet people’s cognitive habits, so as to improve the efficiency and reliability of the man-machine system.Helmet-Mounted Display is used as the pivot interface. Factors that influence the color perception of the Helmet-Mounted interface consist of two main aspects:character color and the background color of the sky. Based on cognitive ergonomics, color theory and human engineering theory, analyzing the existing literature and taking cognitive simulation experiment, this study explored the degree of rating recognition for different icon-background color combinations. This experiment took E-prime 2.0 presenting the stimuli and then took EXCEL and SPSS to analyze experimental data. Reaction time and recognition correction rate were used as performance evaluation indictors. Experiment found that:the order of color recognition speed and accuracy under different color match. For the whole-day Helmet Mounted Display, the character colors that HSB color value are (120° 33% 33%)and(120° 99% 33%)can be best recognized. For the night Helmet-Mounted Display, the character color that HSB color value is (120° 33% 66%)can be best recognized.
