The research on performance monitoring and economic diagnosis for gas steam combined cycle power plant plays a crucial role in the efficiency monitoring and optimization operation of the combined cycle unit. It is very important for mastering the operation characteristics and ensuring the safety and economic operation of the unit.Therefore, taking the #2 PG9171E gas steam combined cycle power plant as the object, this paper carried out the research of thermal economic calculation, on-line performance monitoring, analysis and diagnosis of thermal economy.First of all, this paper used the first law of thermodynamics to establish the main modules of gas steam combined cycle power plant. These modules include the performance calculation model of gas turbine, heat recovery steam generator, steam turbine and the whole combined cycle unit. Then, we gave the performance calculation and analysis on the basis of typical operating conditions, which provided the basis for the theoretical analysis of the unit’s thermal performance and variable load modeling.Secondly, by using the advanced process software (APROS), this paper established the simulation model of the whole gas steam combined cycle power plant, which mainly includes the gas turbine, heat recovery steam generator and steam turbine. And the design of control loop was designed on the basis of the APROS modular modeling system. Then the accuracy and reliability of the model was verified under the design condition and variable working conditions. This model provides the data support for the follow-up analysis of thermal economic performance under a variety of complex conditions.Furthermore, based on the APROS simulation platform, the key influence factors of the combined cycle unit was analyzed and the relative correction curve of the combined cycle’s heat rate which under the conditions of different gas turbine load was obtained.Finally, based on the supervisory information system platform, the performance monitoring and economic diagnosis module was developed and the software design idea, system structure, operating process was given.
