Under the background of State Grid to develop strong and smart grid, the power transformer, as an important equipment in the grid, of whose condition will affect the reliability and stability of the entire grid. Therefore, it is of great significance for the stable operation of the grid to make a scientific, rational and correct evaluation on the health condition of the power transformer.The vibration signal contains a large amount of information about the vibrating object.When the iron core or winding of the Transformer is in fault, the vibration signal tends to change. Because of the probability of the failure in transformer winding and iron core is relatively high. So the vibration method based on vibration signal acquisition and analysis has become a research hot spot in the field of transformer on-line monitoring. In this paper,through the studying of the vibration method, sensor technology and the signal analysis technology, a set of transformer vibration noise analysis equipment which based on the LabVIEW virtual instrument was designed and developed.First of all, in this paper, the working principle of the transformer, the cause of vibration and the vibration of transmission is analyzed. It’s help to know the truth that the main source of vibration in the transformer is from the core and winding, then the connection between the transformer’s iron core and winding fault and vibration is studied. Subsequently several kinds of vibration signal analysis processing method are researched.Second, the comparative study about three kinds of commonly used sensors in vibration signal acquisition is carried out. According to the characteristics of the vibration signals from transformer, the selection work of the data acquisition hardware equipment is completed,which is mainly about the choice of sensors and acquisition card. Besides, the DAQmx is used for the connection between the software and hardware. At the same time, from the angle of software design, data collection, data analysis, database functions are designed.Finally, data acquisition and several function interfaces in the transformer vibration signal analysis system are realized through the programming on LabVIEW. The realized function interfaces the login interface, time domain analysis function interface, spectrum analysis interface, power spectrum analysis function interface, wavelet analysis functioninterface. While the data is stored in the SQL-Server database, and the historical data can be looked up or delete on it.
