Car industry will be developed with a high speed in the future, and demand for tire use is increasing. The developing direction of tires is the flatting, non inner tires,environmental protection, functionalization, and automation. At present, the "green tire" with safety, efficiency, energy conservation, and environmental protection is the development mainstream of international tire industry. It is shown that compared to the common radial tires, the "green tires" manufactured by the new technology possess advantages in the reduction of rolling resistance, fuel consumption, and carbon dioxide emissions, and increase of mileages as well as more safety and reliability.In recent years, European Union and North America have proposed serious regulation requirements for the performance of tires, and more and more countries are planning or have established tire regulations. Although our country is the first in the number of tire production, export, and enterprises in the world, they are concentrated on the low-technology medium and low markets and the tire performance and market occupation rate of Chinese tires are limited with respect to worldwide well-known tires. Chinese tire industry faces all kinds of issues and opportunity. There are two main factors to influence tire performance: tire formula and tire structure. Tire structure can be modelled on with high-level software, but tire formula is rather difficultly deciphered. Therefore, tire formula analysis is a research work full of difficulty and challenge.There are two tire profiling authorities at home and abroad: one is the SMITHERS SCIENTIFIC SERVICES in the United States, and the other is the Rubber Industry Research and Design Institute of Beijing in China. They focus on the analysis of inorganic fillers, and almost no analysis of organic additives is made.According to the analysis report of SMITHERS, the tire formula is: rubber, black carbon, silica, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, calcium carbonate, cobalt adhesive, and plasticizers and their dosages; however, the tire formula from the analysis report of Beijing is: rubber, carbon black, white carbon black, zinc oxide, total bonding system(qualitative system of age), softener qualitative system, wax, and so on. They analyze part of tire formula and the analysis results are incomplete, especially for the analysis of organic additives in tires, such as the protective agents, promoters, reinforcingagents, plasticizers, and so on. It is known that the big tire manufacturers at home and abroad have set up research and development centers, and analyzing tire formula which is important and difficult, will be one of the most valuable research directions in the next few years, which is very difficult and full of challenge. It is difficult to know what extent of tire analysis in all of the tire companies. If we firstly set up an effective system of tire profiling and cultivate a group of hard working forces, we can stand in the tire industry. For company’s interests, through the analysis of tire formula,we can understand the needs of customers, and then determine what kinds of products and sales are needed. Through analyzing tire formula, we can provide technical supports to customers and cooperation, and establish stable sale channels. In the aspect of national interests, doing so can play a decisive role in the development of China’s tire industry.Since the flattering, tubeless, functionalization, and automation are controlled via the structure design and production technology, we put the target to fix on environmental protection. We bought five well-known green car tires(225/55R16)and made deep analysis and research.This thesis mainly introduced some main tire formulation ingredients, such as rubber, vulcanizing, plasticizing, reinforcement, anti-ageing, and cooperation system.using the basic testing methods in the national and industrial standards, we have analyzed the rubber types of tires and kinds and contents of inorganic and organic fillers in tires. A tire is divided into six subdivision: tread tire, belt tire, sidewall, beat filler, bead filler, and seam allowance, in which the type, curing agent, promoting agents, processing agent, oil, PAHs, zinc, black carbon, silica, stabilizer, and wax were determined, so that the possible formula of tires could be deduced.
