In the rapid urbanization process, the impact of traffic on living environment is getting worse. Especially in large cities like Shenzhen, how to create a quiet and comfortable living environment is a challenge to the architect. In this paper, high-rise residential in Shenzhen as research object, through the analysis of Shenzhen hign-rise residential features and road traffic overview, explore the use of high-rise residential layout and roadside building design method to improve the noise environment.This paper in response to traffic noise as the main entry point, aimed at optimizing the sound environment of high-rise residential. Firstly, select and investigate 110 high-rise residentials in Shenzhen. By analyzing the size and scale, residential building typical forms, layout model and other factors to determine the main object of this study. And through statistical each grade road section form and traffic information to determine the characteristics of the road noise source. Secondly, through analysising different layout models high-rise residential under the influence of traffic noise level to discuss the strategy of optimization of layout model. Finally, analyze the impacts on roadside building design, such as the reasonable scope back from the road, influence and effect skirt building, different roadside building shape and facade components for noise reduction.According to the actual traffic noise in Shenzhen, the paper discuss Shenzhen high-rise residential noise optimization strategy to improve the sound environment and have reference value on other areas high-rise residential design.
