With the rapid development of China’s modernization and the sharp increase of urban population, traffic congestion in cities is becoming severer. So the underground space development and urban rail transit construction has been paid more and more attention,especially for the docking between underground space and subway which is ubiquity in some big cities. However, during the underground space project development, the excavation unloading capacity, engineering geological conditions and the surrounding environment are complicated, which will cause changes in the surrounding strata stress and displacement. The adjacent subway is an underground structure with strictly limited deformations, especially for operating subway lines. Therefore, in the process of underground space development,improper design, construction or management will easily induced risks in deformation,settlement, floating, cracking or leakage of adjacent subway tunnel structure once the accident happens, and bring potential hazards to the structural safety and normal subway operation. At present, the risks of adjacent subway induced by underground space development and their management had been little studied. How to identify, analyze, evaluate and control the risks of adjacent subway induced by underground space development remains to be investigated and perfected.This article uses the comprehensive risk analysis method to establish the risk model, in order to identify, analyze, evaluate and control the risks of adjacent subway induced by underground space development in Guangzhou South Railway Station area. Specific research contents are as follows:(1) This paper shows an outline of domestic and overseas risk management, analyzes the research trend on underground space development, and briefly introduces the study methods and contents of this paper.(2) According to the requirements of the research object, the basic theory of project risk management, analysis process and evaluation method are elaborated.(3) The characteristics of underground space development are summarized, combined with the engineering accident case. The surrounding environmental risk factors caused by underground space development are analyzed in detail.(4) Based on the background of practical engineering case, the risk model is established by using expert scoring method and analytic hierarchy process, to identify, analyze and evaluate the risks of adjacent subway induced by underground space development of Guangzhou South Railway Station area. According to the risk assessment levels and subway protection standards, pertinent pre-control measures are put forward.
