Vehicle is the most important noise source in our lives. Due to tire noise is the main part of the vehicle noise, it is a necessary requirement to reduce the vehicle noise and improve the quality of our lives that reducing the tire noise. What’s more, China has a large tire production and exporting ratio, and EU is the most important market of our tires. However, there is a big gap of tire quality between us and others famous tire company in the word. The noise level required by the legislation 2009/1222/EC of tire in EU is a big challenge for our tire company. Therefore, researching the mechanism of tire noise and improving the efficiency of low-noise tire designing is an emergency task for our tire company. However, the mechanism of tire noise production and propagation is so complex that it is not possible to explain it by a general theory or a physical model. There is not an effective test method to measure the part of noise causing by one mechanism. According to the public document, the vibration noise and the air pumping noise dominate the tire noise. In this thesis, a new method named Mixed Lagrangian-Eulerian(MLE) method is researched to simulate the vibration noise of the rolling tire.Firstly, the 3D-modelling and dynamic analysis method for tires with complex pattern are researched, by which the acceleration of tire pattern surface are acquired. These acceleration signals are used as the vibration exciting to simulate the noise of rolling noise Then a special program is built by Fortran language, by which the acceleration information is mapped from Lagrangian mesh to Eulerian mesh based on the interpolation principle. So a stable acceleration boundary conditions are generated for the vibration noise simulation. At last, a series methods and procedures to simulate the tire vibration noise based on the Automatic Matched Layer technology are researched. And the noise distribution graph and frequency spectrum around the tire are calculated. It provides a fast and effective tools to simulate the vibration noise of rolling tire. What’s more, with the test of tire noise, the relational between different velocity, different measuring positions, different tire patterns and tire rolling noise are researched. The series conclusion acquired are benefit on analyzing the principle of tire noise and designing of low noise TBR tire. The MLE method is also used to predict the pass by noise of two different tires and the error meets the engineering requirements.
