Exploration And Study On The Regional Design Concept Of Modern Hotels Under The Multiple Environments

With the development of the science, technology and travel modal, the trans-regional communication has been deepened increasingly, and the trans-regional traffic communication and booming tourism industry has shortened the distance among different parts around the world.As one of necessary space carriers for global zero-distance life, the hotel has become a most unique type with time characteristics and trans-regional differences. Besides required functions, the hotel also has full-bodied folklore characteristics displaying and passing on all kinds of traditional region characteristics. Therefore, the traditional region culture and unique region elements play an important role in the hotel planning and design.This paper discusses a relationship between the hotel design and the geographical environment, and urban life characteristics are reflected by the design concept of modern hotels in the 20 th century.Firstly, as the main part of city and the natural scenic, the design concept can reflect the relationship between hotels and environment. Secondly, as a unique expression meeting customer demands and hotel service standards, the hotel design concept can reflect the consumption concept well, with a contemporary hotel consumption trend and brand concept. Thirdly, the hotel design concept represents a living form providing living space for different habitants.This paper is divided into four parts to study the architectural design creation of modern hotels under the multiple environments, with a regional architecture design concept.As the first chapter of this paper, the first part establishes the research question. And the research content is summarized in the first chapter’s introduction, which includes the research background, research purpose, research significance, research contents, research methods and the overall research framework.The second part is in the second and third chapters for analyzing questions. The second and third chapters respectively expound the hotel development process, present situation at home and abroad,the regional concept related meaning, characteristics, the development history and architectural design factors.The third part is in the fourth and fifth chapters for studying and discussing questions. Aiming at the modern hotel design with a regional architecture design concept under the multiple environments, this part makes an analysis combining with theories and cases. Based on the display and inheritance of traditional geographical features, the hotel topic content is determined, and traditional region elements are understood, designed and interpreted. Then it applies the selected topic to the hotel planning layout, architectural design, landscape space construction and so on.The fourth part is in the sixth chapter combining theory and practice. Based on the author’s design practice, it analyzes the hotel design process in the Shanxi Socialist College, which summarizes the theory research and exploration to a certain extent.The last part is a conclusion and outlook in the full paper.
