| China is a country with a profound historical and cultural heritage. The residential buildings with distinct regional features which are formed through thousand years of the culture of living in mountains play a vital part in Chinese history and culture. The life style, folk culture and place spirit of residential buildings are extremely worth our reference and inheriting. The unique historic villages in Shanxi Province are the most representative one, whose intense architectural expression is still what people take delight in talking about today, and they have been inherited since Gucun Town in Shanxi Province was systematized.China is country with five thousand years of history and culture. During this long period, the protection of ancient cities and villages has grown out ofnothing and has developed from overall building groups to partial single buildings. In the process of protection, we also need to pay attention to the integrality of protection as well as the recycle of architectures, and put forward some different modes for the protection of ancient villages at the same time.Hougou Ancient Village, Yuci District, Shanxi Province is the most representative village in Fen River basin, with a long history of agricultural civilization, unique style of cave dwelling and a settlement spatial arrangement near the mountain and taking the advantage of terrain. Therefore, in 2003,Hougou Ancient Village, Yuci District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province was identified as the only survey sample of ancient villages by China Society for the Study of Folk Literature and Art. From 2003, an overall renovation was carried out in Hougou Village. In 2005, after the renovation,Hougou was open to the public by means of tourist attraction and sketching base for students. After 13-year protection via tourism development, Hougou Ancient Village has conducted renovation projects on ancient fane system, ecological greening system, management project construction and foundation engineering and has obtained some achievements, which largely saved ancient villages. However, there are also some bad phenomena, such as illusions of the low and peak seasons for tourism, building and rebuilding by villagers without permission and so on, which are not solved in a real sense. There are still some questions needing to be dealt with. Therefore, I believe that it is of greatnecessity to rethink the sustainable development of the ancient villages. Therefore, in accordance with the domestic and foreign theories about the protection mode of ancient villages and aiming at the present development mode of Hougou Ancient Village, this study makes a feasibility analysis on its location, environment, adaptability, and satisfaction on the new mode. Making renovations on the existing protection mode, then putting forward more sound leisure mode of aged-care, and conducting simulation design in accordance with this concept, in order to protect and recycle the ancient villages and optimize the existing industry chain. From the perspective of interior and outdoor space environment of the ancient village, this paper elaborates the causes of the formation of the village space and spatial feature, the protection, development and utilization of the villages, leisure mode of aged-care and it feasibility analysis, and the applied research for habitable renovation for the aged by means of field research, material collection and sorting, theoretical analysis and scene simulation design. This study conducts recycle and renovation on the basis of protection, and there are also some questions in the process of renovation and simulation, such as the need of formulating policies by the related policies and how to invite investment and generalize it, which will be the premise of the renovation project in this paper. Although there are some adverse factors, the combination of the leisure mode for aged-care and the protection of ancient villages will become atrend. It is hoped that this study can provide some potent supports and foundations for the protection mode of ancient villages in the whole country. |
