The earthquake disaster is the first of a group of calamity, with sudden and unpredictable and high frequency characteristics, a serious threat to human life and property safety.In the disaster caused by the earthquake, the damage to the structure of the building and the loss caused by the impact is particularly prominent, so in recent years, the research on the seismic performance of the building structure.Along with the progress of science and technology and the development of economy and society, all kinds of irregular structures emerge in an endless stream.In the case of irregular structure, different countries have different processing methods, and most of them are based on the structure of the single body which can be divided into a number of rules according to the actual situation.Due to the seismic joint set of different plane forms seismic performance of building structures have different effects. Therefore, this paper on L type,hui type and one type three different plane forms of building structure in setting and not setting aseismic joint two case studies, give full consideration to the shockproof seam setting on the effects of three different plane forms the seismic performance of building structures.This paper according to the current code designed six kinds of operating model of RC frame structure, and the rare met earthquake under the action of static elastic plastic analysis and dynamic history analysis of the structure in the rare case of layer under the action of earthquake, the displacement and plastic hinge situation in order to determine the structure of weak parts and yield mechanism. The analysis under different working conditions under earthquake joint set of three different plane structure’s seismic performance influence.The analysis results show that: for L type buildings, due to the centroid of the whole structure, stiffness center does not coincide with the structure in the earthquake produced torsion effect, in the static elastic plastic analysis and dynamic time history analysis, the overall structure of the interlayer displacement angle were less than monomer structure; at the same time, overall structure of plastic hinge development level compared with the monomer structure high, and in the corner near the stress concentration and local structural damage is more serious. So for the first structure, the seismic performance of the whole structure is better than that of the single body structure. The paper suggests that the seismic joints should be set up at the change of the shape of the structure.for the second structure,the static elastic plastic analysis and dynamic time history analysis, the overall structure and the monomer structure layer between angular displacement and plastic hingedevelopment degree are basically the same, and taking into account the actual earthquake monomer structure collision impact increase the seismic response, is proposed in this paper to font structure should not be set shock proof joints;for the third structure, in the static elastic plastic analysis and dynamic time history analysis, the overall structure of the interlayer displacement angle and monomer structure layer between angular displacement fairly basic, plastic hinge development degree and monomer structure and consider the narrow structure in the earthquake affected by the influence of traveling wave effect is easy to produce torsion, increase the seismic response, the paper suggests that for longer, a font structure should be set shock proof joints.The analysis results of this paper can provide guidance for the design of similar structures, as the basis and reference for the analysis of practical engineering design.
