Solar thermal power generation technology is one of the important ways to solve the problem of energy crisis and environmental pollution in twenty-first Century. Tower type solar energy thermal power generation system, also called centralized solar thermal power generation system(CSP),with high photoelectric conversion efficiency, good economic benefits, but severely affected by the weather, day and night changes. Therefore, how to guarantee the system running stably and efficiently is the focus and hotspot in the field of solar thermal power generation.Storage system is an important part of solar thermal power generation system, with stable load, adjusting function. This paper takes the storage system of the 1MW tower solar thermal power generation station as the research subject, introduces the research background and significance, summarizes the domestic and overseas research status of the related technologies and the analyses working mode of the heat storage system. On the basis of this, the following three aspects are mainly studied:(1) The working principle of each equipment of the heat storage system is analyzed, and the mathematical model of heat exchanger, variable frequency pump and re boiling device is established by the mechanism modeling method;(2) Based on in-depth understanding of PID control, Smith control, cascade control, feedforward control theory and internal characteristics and control requirements of heat storage system, the control scheme of the reboiler heat exchanger is proposed, Single-loop control, cascade-Smith control, feedforward- cascade-Smith control and other different control strategies are designed. This thesis also gives a comprehensive analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of different control strategies and different schematic and block diagram of the control system;(3)The Simulink simulation models of the control system are set by the block diagram and transfer function of each component of the system. The system response waveform is obtained by the simulation test. It isn’t difficult to found that the feed forward-cascade-Smith control system has the advantages of strong anti-interference ability, good stability, smaller steady-state error.In this paper, the control strategy of the solar thermal energy storage system is explored. Through modeling and simulation, the control algorithm is optimized, and the feasibility of the control strategy is verified. The research of the control strategy of the thermal storage system has a certain significance to the development of the tower type solar energy thermal power generation technology.
