With the rapid development of construction industry, the deficiency of traditional stair design highlights in the earthquake, increasing sliding supports stairs development. Scanning the research of dynamical and international development, the study with regard to different sliding bearing arrangement and the impact of stairwell on the structural seismic capacity is rare. In this paper, on the basis of combining with engineering and ABAQUS finite element software, the model of staircase together with building, without stairs and different sliding bearing arrangement on the structural seismic capacity is analyzed. The idiographic work is as follows:(1)On the basis of “Shaanxi People’s Insurance Building” project, the model of staircase together with building structure, the structural model of frame-staircase with sliding supports and the model without stairs are designed. Using PKPM software, the maximal storey drift, inter-laminar displacement angle, period, story shearing force, overturning moment of these three models under the same project background are obtained.Then, compare these analysis and come to the conclusion that the stairs have a great influence on the integral structural design. Under the condition of staircase not together with building structure, the impact of staircase on the main structure rigidity can be reduced by selecting the sliding support arrangement form.(2)Four kinds of staircase model are designed as follows: the fourth is stair model with both fixed ends, the fifth is the frame model without containing stairs, the sixth is the model of setting sliding bearings for staircases at the bottom of stair plate, the seventh is the model of setting sliding bearings for staircases at the top of stair plate, and the length of the sliding bearing is validated. Using ABAQUS software, the natural frequency and the first three modal graph of these four models are achieved. Based on the comparative analysis, the setup of the stairs can change the modal order, and stairs have a significant contribution to the stiffness of the direction along the ladder. Compared with the seventh model, the sixth model can effectively reduce the impact of staircase on the main structure stiffness.(3)Based on the engineering background, this paper selects EL-Centro wave, Tangshan wave, artificial wave and adjusts them according to the specification. At the same time, according to the results of modal analysis and ASAQUS software, the seismic performance of these four models under the horizontal and vertical earthquake are analyzed and the conclusion is that: model six and seven have a remarkable “release energy”effect under horizontal seismic and compared with model seven, model six has a better “release energy”effect which setting sliding bearings at the bottom of stair plate.(4)According to the above analysis and conclusion, suggestions can be presented at the staircase design.
