Study On Application Of The Decorative Art Of LOFT Space Under The Regional Culture

A large number of heritages of old industrial buildings with conservation value have been unused in more than 20 years accompanied by urban development and the adjustment of industrial structure, which demands new functions of industrial buildings to be involved in. Meanwhile, the LOFT space which came into being due to the widespread dissemination of LOFT culture in China has become a new direction of the functional update of old industrial buildings. The re-use and renovation of old industrial buildings have also received attention from various fields of society at home under the influence of the renovation modes of LOFT space in developed countries of the West. Based on a period of exploration, particularly the research related to the decorative art of LOFT space that is carried out under geographical and cultural context highlights the rich regional color and cultural charm of industrial buildings.In China, a certain amount of theoretical basis and practical experience has been accumulated with regard to the renovation of old industrial buildings. However, currently most researches pay attention to reports on individual cases of the renovation of industrial heritages from the media. There’s a lack of in-depth theoretical analysis of the renovation of LOFT space in the same area as well as a systematic case comparison.First of all, this paper carries out research, discussion and analysis of the basic information related to regional culture and LOFT space. Furthermore, this paper analyzes the renovation cases of LOFT space at home and aboard from the macroscopic perspective, and then it carries out comparison with the case study of the decorative art design of LOFT space in XI’AN City from microscopic angle of view. On this basis, combined with the new trend in design at the transitional period of China’ social economy currently, this paper finds the common point of the regional culture and LOFT space’s decorative art design.Finally, it summarizes and arranges the regional culture’s application principles and design techniques in environment decorative art design of LOFT space, and puts forward its experience and gains, which provides a reference for future LOFT space design under regional culture.
