The inspection and evaluation of existing structures in our country is just emerging. according to foreign related researches, it will become one of the nine biggest industries in the future.Existing buildings in the course will inevitably suffer from the impact of the natural environment and human factors, and even the presence of the intended use changes will lead to structural changes which carry the load.In addition, as the economy continues to develop, people’s requirements on the safety of the existing buildings are also getting higher and higher.In order to ensure that the building can achieve the designed expectations, as well as to ensure good performance,we need to keep the inspection and evaluation developed and perfected.Simply,the first step is to use the advanced technology to inspect the existing structures,then acquire the actual data.After this,we can evaluate the safety on the basis of the data and obtain the actual level of the buildings.This paper aims to build a comprehensive security assessment system and establish a security evaluation model.Therefore, the main contents are as follows:(1)The paper fully studied the basic theory of detection and identification of existing buildings, and the current research status in this field, it laid the foundation for the following.(2)The paper gives a thorough study on fundamental part of the inspection of the existing civil structures. The purposes and principles of the structure inspection are described in detail.In addition,the paper also establish "three-step" procedure of the inspection, which includes a preliminary investigation site, developing detection scheme and a detailed inspection of the site.Inspection technologies are introduced inaccordance with four different structural forms respectively in this paper.(3)The article establish a safety assessment level for existing civil structures.This article identifies the identified content in accordance with component, sub-unit and identification unit, which includes cracks, carrying capacity, etc.On the basis of Identification content, the development of safety evaluation index system is established,and then the paper use Interval AHP to calculate the index weight.(4)According to the index system which has been established, the paper builds a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for the safety assessment of the existing civil buildings.The model includes grading criteria of each index,the method of determining index membership function and mathematical methods for data processing.(5)Combined with specific engineering example, the paper use integrated assessment model to assess its actual safety and obtain the rating results.The results were compared with the results which are obtained by the traditional method.Ultimately,it successfully proves the applicability of the method.
