With the continuous development of modern construction industry, the increasing large public buildings, building the systems more complex, traditional building design methods can not meet the design requirements at this stage, information architecture design level seriously affected and restricted the development of China’s construction industry. New architectural design- Building Information Modeling(BIM) technology is a modern building industry has brought a new mode of thinking, opening the second architectural design innovation.The paper based on a large-scale public buildings, combined with the concept of BIM technology and characteristics, summarizes the present situation of BIM technology and BIM software; analyze the differences between BIM design software and CAD design software, detailing BIM technology in the design The advantages. And for a large public buildings(commercial hotel complex) mechanical and electrical design, application Revit MEP 2014 software to establish a BIM electromechanical model, collision detection, according to optimize the design principles of the design model to optimize and deepen and apply BIM software the three-dimensional dynamic roaming technology to simulate the design effect.Aiming at the actual project, give full play to the BIM technology visualization, coordination, optimization and other characteristics of modern large-scale public building complex mechanical and electrical lines and lighting system is designed to address the sharing of design information between the professional under the traditional design approach and coordination and design optimization change issues shows the BIM technology in the building design stage to bring the value and benefits of construction projects and guide future potential for China’s large public buildings electromechanical systems design and optimization provides a new method, practical promising.
