The low-yield point steel shear panels dampers are an excellent damping energy dissipation device, while the earthquake occurs, using its hysteresis deformation to dissipate the energy of earthquake, then keeping the main structure safe. At present, low-yield point steel shear panels dampers have been widely used in construction field, but has been lessly applicated on the bridge engineering. Using a high-pier continuous girder bridge and a high-pier continuous rigid-frame bridge as the engineering example to study the effect of seismic. which equipped with the low-yield point steel shear panels dampers. The main research results as following:1) Comprehensively analysis the research situation and application about the low-yield point steel shear panels dampers. To understand the working principle and damping performance of l the low-yield point steel shear panels dampers.2) Studied damping performance of the high-pier continuous girder bridge, which equipped with the low-yield point steel shear panels dampers. Studied damping performance in different condition, such as using different seismic waves、the piers flexible、installation location of low yield point links、the height of piers.3) Studied damping performance of the high-pier continuous rigid-frame bridge, which equipped with the low-yield point steel shear panels dampers.The results presenting that under the seismic action, through different deformation of double column pier to achieve the goal of l the low-yield point steel shear panels dampers to work is feasible. The low-yield point steel shear panels dampers, as a kind of excellent performance energy dissipation device, are suitable for high-pier continuous girder bridge and high-pier continuous rigid-frame bridge.In case of strong or last long time earthquake, it can reflect much more abilities to dissipate seismic energy.
