Research On The Organizational Method Of Landscape Sequence In Xi’an Round-City-Park

With the increasing pressure of life, urban residents are urgently in need of comfortable environment for leisure and communication. The Round-City-Park in Xi’an,as relying on the ancient city wall and city belt park, are closely related to citizens’ daily life,and spiritual sustenance. The special form make The Round-City-Park all over the city. As an all opening green space,it is the best place for outdoor leisure activities of citizens. Landscape sequence determines the relationship between human behavior, perception and the landscape environment.Because of the widest coverage and high utilization rate,we need to discuss the organization of landscape sequence using human used as the core.With the learning of the two successful design cases of foreign urban belt park- Nagoya Yakushima Odori Park and High Line Park in New York,reading the outstanding achievements of their organization of landscape sequence. Then analyzing the investigation of several Urban Linear Park in our country,and summed up the problems exists in the organization of landscape sequence of Urban Linear Park at present.Based on these existed problems, combined with the related theory on the topic: perception theory and environment behavior studies, landscape aesthetics to research the Round-City-Park in Xi’an.Based on the analysis of the background and current situation of the park, the author summarizes the characteristics, such as the particular location,,annular shape, openness, connectivity, functional diversity. After the investigation of the characteristics of the park and the current situation of the activities, this paper discusses the composition elements:landscape sequence boundary, topography, water, transportation, plants, landscape architecture, virtual elements.With integrating the structure design of landscape elements, researching and inducing the method of landscape sequence organization from the park short axis and long axis direction Short axis: 1. Forest landscape level to create a(perpendicular to the interface of hierarchical organization, heterogeneous landscape use, to guide visitors to the spatial feeling). Space AC(physical connection, form of continuation, line of sight accessible) axis: paragraph 1. Space division,(according to topic segmentation, according to the surrounding environment is divided, according to the division of human behavior. Landscape sequence organization(organizational path, spatial contrast).Then focusing on the complete sequence of two section: Yong ning gate- Suzaku gate section, Chang le gate – Jian guo gate segment, and the systematicly verified the organization method. People-orientedly summarize the advantages and disadvantages in the organization of landscape sequence. Finally, based on the problems exist in the landscape sequence of Urban Linear Park, examine the research results of The Round-City-Park in Xi’an and give suggestions for improvement. And try to summarize the general principles of the organization of landscape sequence in Urban Linear Park, hoping to play a positive role for the future design of Urban Linear Park.
