As industrial and mining enterprises are increasing rapidly with the fast development of economy, all kinds of accidents and natural disasters every year bring a lot of patients with limb deformities and fractures. Currently the traditional medical fixation is internal which will increase the risk of being infected. And internal fixation destroys the bone’s micro-environment and physiological healing. In this case, there exists a risk of internal fixation failure and the presence of secondary fractures. Especially in the case of the limb deformity correction, this approach becomes powerless. As a fixed micro-invasive external fixator, Taylor external fixator is a good remedy for the shortcomings and conforms to the bone surgery trend thus having broad market prospects.Despite the advantages of Taylor external fixator, other problem shows up. The information during the process of correction is not enough. The structure of deformity bones is not clear thus making the correction not accurate. In order to solve the problems, this thesis is aimed at designed a software system that provides a virtual platform which can observe deformity bones and the correction of entire process through three-dimension visual simulation. The main contents are as belows. Do research on orgnization chart and kinematical equation of Stewart platform, then the correction algorithm is brought up based on the matrix of deformity bone and the kinematical equation.Do research on Open GL, some application interface are built up for the application platform, then the application is designed precisely according to the correction algorithm. Finally, the software testing is described. Different test cases are used to verify whether the function of the software system is consistent with the expected target.
