It is significant in the process of human society to invent the electric light. With the rapid development of LED industry, represented by LED flat light of a new generation of lighting source is also booming. The scientists at home and abroad start researching new light guide plate because the old has some weakness like light guiding efficiency not high and the light not uniform. There is not unified standard about how to assess the uniform of the light guide plate. So it is important to research the key technology and testing method about the lighting effects of the light plate.This paper first summarized the working theory and the latest research results of the light plate. Then aimed at the key technology and the testing mothed about how to improve the lighting effect of the light plate, author raised the research scheme through the method of adjusting the gridding’s size and density. At the same time, author developed the new nano light guide plate and set up the test system to detect the uniform of the light plate. And this paper main include the three aspects of research, my topic will develop the statement in three aspects as follows.Firstly, we adjust the size and density of the dots by LightTools for the light guide plate that this type is generally used to improve the rule of dot arrangement on the plate, and then we can make lighting effects of the light guide plate better by means of the analogue simulation and gaining the information of the brightness and uniformity of the light guide plate. After this, we can design light guide plates that whose uniformity can reach 60 percent.In the second place, due to many advantages that the nano light guide plate has, which can be cutted as your pleases and be bent when it is hot, it holds a bright prospect in the illuminative filed. After grasping the shining theory of the nano light plate, We develop the manufacture of it to explore the effect that the type,the size and the concentration of the inorganic phase have on property of guiding light, then we design the nano light guide that is 295mm×295mm×4mm, which uses SiO2, and its size is 70 nm, concentration is 20 percent, its uniformity can reach 92 percent.Finally, establish a hardware system to detect the uniformity of the light guide plate. The system is in the dark environment, and the images collected by a CMOS camera are transmitted to the PC to analyze and we get a uniformity evaluation by Matlab, which realize the multiple numerical evaluation about uniformity and display the brightness in a three-dimensional systems, then we receive a proposal to continue to optimize the design.After realizing that it is limited to improve the light guide plate’s lighting effects by improved design method, it is necessary to continue to study. Furthermore, the interface of the system and the standardization need to further improve.
