Due to the rapid economic development, China’s motor vehicles increase rapidly, traffic demand expands ceaselessly, the contradiction of traffic demand and supply is increasingly outstanding, so traffic problems have become increasingly prominent. Intelligent transportation system (ITS) a an effective measure which can solve the traffic problem emerges as the times require. Advanced traveler information system (ATIS) is an important component of ITS, it is able to provide travelers accurate, quick information in the travel process, so ATIS has a certain influence on the traveler’s route choice, this paper mainly study on the model and algorithm of traveler selected path in the presence of ATIS.At first, this paper analyses the existing route choice principle and route choice model, the influence of traffic information to travelers in route choice as the starting point, analysis of ATIS information on the impact mechanism of traveler produced, on the basis of the original route choice model is improved, the path meeting the ATIS under the action of the choice model the first kind is induced by the UE strategy route choice model, second kinds of SO induced path strategy choice model, and to solve them, finally the reliability of road network based on ATIS is analyzed and calculated.Through the example of the ATIS path selection under the road network reliability model was verified, and draws the following conclusions:(1) When the share of vehicle guidance system market share is constant, with the increase of flow rate, the main road and secondary road traffic has increased. On the main road, in UE induced flow distribution strategy to distribute flow is higher than that of SO under the induction strategy. For secondary roads, traffic distribution allocation strategy under SO induced flow is always higher than that of UE under the induction strategy, which are described in the SO induced strategy, network flow more easily concentrated, can be evenly distributed in the main path and a secondary path.(2) The main path sections, with the increase in market share, the distribution of flow is mainly increased first and then decreased; in the secondary path sections, with the increase in market share, the traffic flow increases first and then decreases, and then increases again.(3) With the changes in market share, UE and SO induced by strategy, the travel time reliability of change. On the whole, with the market share increased in SO induced travel time reliability strategy is always higher than that in induced under the strategy of UE.
