Tied Arch has been widely used in China’s actual project. It is an important guarantee for the safety of bridge in the lifetime that to inspect and evaluate the Tied Arch having been built. This paper research the issues of inspection and evaluation and the computer system referring to the relevant norms, standards and research results. Tied Arch inspection and evaluation system mainly used C++language, which based on MFC framework and Google Earth. The main content and results of this study are the following four points.1. The division of inspection units and the computer program implementationThe bridge inspection unit is the basic member in the process of bridge inspection. The division of inspection units is the prerequisite for the detailed and comprehensive and no omissions in the bridge inspection. In this paper, a general division methods and encoding ways were research. On the basis of dividion, the inspection contents and methods were introduced in classified. The paper also used computer in unit division.2. The inspection process and method of hanger and tiedOn the basis of disease analysis about hanger and tied, the general inspection progress and method of this two components were researched, and summarized the flexible cable force formulas and inspection progress. On the basis of Midas finite element analysis, the inspection method of tied break using the key points displacement.3. Long-term tracking and monitoring methods of key parts diseasesIn this paper, the problems of crack, hangers, tie bars, piers corrosion, displacement and rib deformation were sorted, and described the long-term monitoring methods for each type of disease.4. Tied Arch inspection information integration and the computer program implementationIn this paper, the overall classification method of completion information, regular inspection, maintenance management, repair engineering and monitoring data was established, in which the definition and integration requirement for each piece of information were setted. Using of computer achieved a Tied Arch inspection information integration, which was facilitating the analysis and processing and storage of inspection data.5. The technology state evaluation of Tied Arch and the computer program implementationIn this paper, based on the country’s bridge inspection standards and combined with structural features of Tied Arch, the technology state evaluation of Tied Arch was developed. Using of computer, the bridge state evaluation was achieved.In this paper, the computer technology was used in inspection and evaluation field of Tied Arch, which providing assistance and facilities for the practical management of this type bridge.
