A Preliminary Research On Museum Architecture Light Environment Design

Light is one of the elements that define and perform space, and it has a close relationship with space. Good building light environment directly determines the quality of building space. As a public cultural and educational institution that preserve, collect, exhibit and study collections, museum has special requirements to lighting. How to create a space environment that is comfortable and pleasant, good for showing is the key to design.This paper is written in the perspective of museum space and light environment design problem, on the basis of museum light environment design theory and standards, and refer to theoretical work and excellent case of this aspect.The study is conducted to study, explore and summarize from aspect of natural light environment and artificial light environment, while combined with the ongoing museum project in Wuyi. The writer use the light environment analysis software ECOTECT to control the quantity on the basis of theoretical study, in order to create a museum light environment that is conducive for display, visually pleasing, and is closely integrated to Space.
