The accurate measurement of the temperature is of great significance in many fields such as the military defense, the science research, the industrial production process and so on. Traditional contact temperature measurement method has been unable to satisfy the rapid and accurate measurement of the temperature in some special conditions. The development of the non-contact radiation temperature measurement technology has made the accurate temperature measurement of high speed, high temperature and instantaneous targets possible. For example, the explosion flame transient temperature measurement, the rocket motor plume flame temperature measurement and the train axle temperature measurement. The refore, the development of the thermodetector based on the radiation temperature measurement technology has important significance. This topic is derived from one National Natural Science Foundation named research on intelligent spectrometry for temperature measurement based on spectral analysis. According to its requirements, this paper analyzed the research status of mid-infrared spectrometers and multiwavelength thermometers in details, and did some surveys of similar equipment. At last, we designed a mid-infrared multiwavelength thermometer. The design of the instrument mainly includes two parts- hardware and software. The optical system of thermodetector is designed under the typical structure of optical spectrum instruments and uses asymmetric type Cz erny-Turner grating spectral structure. The spectrum receiving system is a Pb Se focal plane array and a microcomputer mainboard is regarded as the master controller of the lower computer as well as equipped with the micro touch screen for users to develop. This system can realize such functions as data acquisition control, data processing and results real-time display. For the design of software, a Qt development environment based on the linux system is built. A brief graphic user interface was developed an d the C++ was used to do some related process design. The instrument designed has such advantages as high integration, small size and simple operation. In the end, the grating monochromatic and the standard blackbody furnace were used to calibrate wavelength and response function for the system designed. The linear emissivity model and multi-wavelength thermometry model based on calibration constants were used to solve target temperature. A testing experiment of the blackbody and repetitive experiments for stainless steel samples were designed to analyze the uncertainty of thermometer.
