Under such a society background that energy resources become insufficient and environmental pollution becomes more severe, electric vehicle gradually acquires significant attention for its zero release and low pollution. Electric drive system plays a vital role in electric vehicle as a substitution for the dynamical system in traditional car. Besides, electric drive system of electric vehicle aimed at controlling ACIM(Alternating Current Induction Motor) becomes mainstream at present. However, due to phase voltage distortion caused by inverter and power switch components, the accuracy of control algorithm has always been influenced in the practical application of ACIM. The contents of this article mainly focus on the vector control strategies of ACIM and phase voltage compensation technology, hoping that this will control phase voltage distortion and enhance the performance of motor’s drive system.To begin with, this paper sets up the math model of ACIM for electric vehicles and deduces the formulas of electromagnetic torque and phase voltage. After clarifying the vector control over slip frequency and forming the vector control simulation model of ACIM, this paper carries out a simulation experiment and verifies static and dynamic characteristics of the system, which prove the reliability of the slip frequency vector control system.Secondly, this paper summarizes the reason for phase voltage distortion and studies all kinds of factors in detail and also analyzes the influence of phase voltage distortion on the entire asynchronous motor system. Based on the phase voltage formula of two phase rotating reference frame, the state observer is set up. Then this article estimates the phase error of voltage using state observer and then the current phase voltage observer is improved, so that the mutual interference between two spindles can disappear. On the basis of simulation model controlled by the vector of ACIM, the compensation of phase voltage error should be estimated and fed back to the arget voltage.When designing the controller of ACIM for electric vehicle, the design for control panel、driver board and power amplifier board are completed, and then this paper debugs the controller through circuit test and builds asynchronous motor control experimental platform based on the controller. Taking advantage of the CCS development environment, a program about motor control is redacted and the vector control in asynchronous motor is achieved. After that this paper appends a program to compensate for phase voltage and verifies this method on the experiment table, proving that the improved method can reduce harmonic component as well as improve the system’s control performance.
