Lifestyle shopping center is a very popular exploitation of commercial real estate in the past few years. Compared with other Shopping Mall, there are three significant features of LSC, that functional feature with the explicit orientation and diversified formats, spatial feature with the open-air and the unique atmosphere, and morphological feature with a high degree of integration to the economy, transportation, regional humanities and ecology of the city. These features have an impact on the circulation design of LSC. However, the research of the circulation of LSC is still imperfect. Therefore, this thesis aims to achieving the balance between the experience and the pragmatism by applying two theories of Sustainable Urbanism and the concept of Jerde. By this methodology, shopping centers are expected to witness the replacement of the former vehicular traffic organization-based design method, achieving the transition of the main design target of high-capacity transportation and customer line.This thesis uses circulation as a research object, by domestic LSC projects under the operation and construction, setting its spatial pattern classification and limitation as the starting point, obtaining the systematic research by the preliminary data and field research, a typical case resolution, design strategies summarizes concise, empirical evaluation questionnaire. The main targets of the research are design strategies of traffic line and customer line, which the critical points and innovative points consist in lifestyle shopping center and urban rail transit system. The research focus is to make the strategy of the outer design traffic line and the inner customer line concise. The critical and innovative points lies in the conjunction of lifestyle shopping center and urban rail transit system, as well as the close links between factors like inner line, format, customer, point, and urban history humanity.The entire paper is divided into four parts:Part One(Chapter 1): The first part is the introduction of the essay, stating the background, the current situation, the object and the methods of the study,Part Two(Chapter 2-3): Specifically addressed the characteristic、classification and limitation of lifestyle shopping center, and discriminated the connection between theories and LSC. It served as a link of former and later.Part Three(Chapter 4): Core part. First, it proposed the design principles of traffic line. By deeply integrating with case study, then this part put forward a strategy and design expression in urban rail transit facilities and vehicular traffic line.Part Four(Chapter 5): Another core part. First, it proposed the design principles of customer line. By deeply integrating with spatial pattern classification and case study, this part put forward a strategy and design expression in horizontal and vertical customer line.Part Five(Chapter 6): Conclusion and prospection. It summarized research findings that discussed above, and put forward the prospect of lifestyle shopping center’s circulation. The author expects that the research of this paper will provide some help for the future researchers and provide reference of the development of lifestyle shopping center in China.
