With the development of science and technology and the great wealth of material, our society has gradually entered the era of experience economy. In this context, people's consumption concepts, consumption behaviors and consumption patterns are undergoing huge changes.People are no longer satisfied with simple material needs, they are more inclined to pursue a spiritual pleasure and a sense of experience in the consumption process. In the context of the experience economy, traditional shopping malls are gradually exposing more and more problems, and most traditional shopping malls are facing a crisis of being marginalized or eliminated. So how to design the shopping mall space under this background so that it can maintain its core competitiveness in the fiercely competitive environment is an urgent problem in the design of shopping mall space. The entry point of this paper comes from three universal issues: the homogeneity of space functions, the convergence of space forms, and the simplification of the spatial dynamics of traditional shopping malls. From the perspective of experiential consumption, the space design of the shopping center pays more attention to the personal experience of consumers in the shopping process, and it puts forward new requirements on the three aspects of space function, space form and line of movement. How to design the space function, space form and space movement of the current shopping center gave birth to the basic research framework of this article. The author has collected a large number of practical cases of large shopping malls in the past ten years and conducted in-depth analysis and summary. The full text is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is a conceptual analysis of the relevant theories of the experience economy and shopping malls and a review of relevant literature..The second chapter analyzes the keywords of contemporary shopping mall space design in the context of experience economy, analyzes the characteristics of consumer transformation in the context of experience economy, and the spatial composition and characteristics of large shopping malls. The internal coupling relationship between them and its mechanism of action put forward design principles that meet the needs of consumer groups, stimulate the vitality of commercial space, and coordinate the surrounding environment of the venue.Chapter three,on the macro level, from the medium of its spatial coupling relationship as the starting point, based on the consumption characteristics and space design principles in the era of experience economy,it proposes inspiring strategies for spatial function allocation and experiential strategies for shaping spatial patterns. And the agglomeration strategy of the customer dynamic organization. The fourth chapter,on the micro level, combines the "catalyst" space design theory, focusing on the specific methods of shopping center space design, from building a three-dimensional linkage function system, creating a spatial form that blends with the scene, and establishes a dynamic and continuous crowd movement.Three aspects of the line proposed corresponding design techniques.Through in-depth analysis of the characteristics of consumer transformation in the context of the experience economy, reveal the inherent nature of the impact of the experience economy on the development of modern shopping malls.Based on the core issues of traditional shopping malls at the moment,it is proposed from three levels of space function, space form, and space dynamic The corresponding design strategies and design methods provide creative ideas for the current space design of large shopping malls, and provide practical guidance for future related architectural practices.
