The squirrel-cage rotor asynchronous magnetic coupling was designed by principle of electromagnetic induction. Its development effectively resolved the problem that the magnets on internal rotors of synchronous magnetic coupling were demagnetized under the high-temperature term. The application range of magnetic coupling shall be expanded. The squirrel-cage rotor asynchronous magnetic coupling with deep slot was studied on the basis of previous research, because of using deep slot structure the operating performance of squirrel-cage rotor asynchronous magnetic coupling had greatly improved. This paper analyses the structural design principle of squirrel-cage rotor magnetic coupling and the problems need attention in design. The theoretical model of magnetic coupling was established through magnetic circuit, electric circuit, and the electromagnetic relationship between them. The internal magnetic field of magnetic coupling was computed by equivalent magnetic circuit method. The outer rotor was changed equivalently into the stator coil of an asynchronous motor, and then the formula of internal rotor induction current was derived by multi-layer theory combined with equivalent circuit. Making loss analysis of magnetic coupling and calculate its power and efficiency. The cogging torque always neglect in the calculation of the torque. In this paper the torque was computed by cogging torque and electromagnetism torque. The no-load magnetic field of magnetic coupling was analyzed using the ANSYS finite element software and get magnetic force line distribution map and the vectorgraph of the magnetic flux density. The influencing factors of no-load magnetic field of magnetic coupling was simulated and analyzed which offered for structure optimization. Finally, a great quantity of experiments was taken to verify the performance of magnetic coupling and effectiveness of theoretical Analysis.
