Since the founding of dynamic compaction method by Menard in 1968, dynamic compaction method have being widely used with it’s advantages like construction equipment simple, fast and reinforcement effect significantly, and low cost. Although it’s consolidation mechanism, effective depth theory research have being certainly development, the overall situation is dynamic development theory research behind the engineering practice. So far, dynamic compaction method is not formed a complete set of mature theory and design method, Its design and construction are highly critical stage. So , study on dynamic compaction method deeply has very important significance.Along with the rapid development of computer technology, It is possible to use the computer simulating engineering conditions . It can greatly shorten the construction period of dynamic compaction, and the maximum saving human, material and financial resources. so, It has very important significance to study the numerical simulation of dynamic compaction method . This paper briefly summarizes the dynamic compaction method in the domestic and international development research status and trends, Introduce the types of dynamic compaction method and the applicable scope and characteristics. Through studying dynamic consolidation theory of dynamic compaction method, and the dynamic pressure theory and the theory of dynamic displacement analysis etc., and discusses the mechanism of heavy tamping method.Through deeply studying the Building Foundation Processing Technical Specification (JGJ79-2002), with reference to relevant academic research results, analysis of the design method of dynamic compaction method by Dalian port of the complex space domain reclamation soil compaction reinforcement engineering projects, then testing the reinforcement effect of dynamic compaction method, and using FLAC3D software to simulate the process, analysis of the relevant data, draw some useful results and regularity, and using the theory of dynamic compaction method for further research and practice experience, making the construction process to be more widely used.
