Self-supporting bus is increasingly applied in tourist bus because of light quality and good safety.It is mostly welded by section steel. The high stress of the structure often appears on the joints of skeleton when it is loaded.And the joints not even connecting crossbeam and polecarline are often the weak link by stress concentration.Adding brackets on joints is an effective method to reinforce it. Therefore, research of influence on bearing performance of bus by the brackets’location and parameter can afford reference for bus structure design. And it is of great significance to improve the strength and lightweight of bus structure.In this paper,giving an example of a self-supporting tourist bus developed by domestic bus factory. First, It introduces the bus structure and analytic method of structure.And then, it analyses T-shape structure of joints not even to conclude the influence law of the bearing performance of T-shape structure affected by brackets’location and parameter.Then,discussing of bus bottom frame, central skeleton and two-grid bus skeleton of the self-supporting tourist bus, in order to summarize and conclude the influence on static and dynamic performance of self-supporting tourist bus’skeleton. It offers reference for skeleton design of self-supporting tourist bus. Respectively, evaluating the role of the brackets on original structure. Then suggests improvement to the original structure.In this paper,it uses ANSYS software and finite element method to conclude that it can significantly improve the strength and stiffness to T-shape structure of joint not even under torsion,when adding cross-brackets on main-bar through calculation and experiment. And it presents that welding trapezoidal brackets on the position which is of the small cross size to reinforce is more effective. The trapezoidal brackets can largely increased torsional property of the structure when adding light weight. Calculation shows that the high stress of the two-grid bottom frame, two-grid central skeleton and two-grid bus skeleton always appears on the joints not even connecting crossbeam and polecarline. And adding brackets in suitable size on a certain position can significantly improve the bearing performance of the structure. Brackets make less effect on modal characteristic and inherent frequency of the self-supporting tourist bus. And the joints not even are often the weak links of self-supporting tourist bus by high stress. Adding vertical brackets parallel to loading on joints not even, which can effectively enhance the static bearing performance.Results of this study can offer the reference for skeleton design of self-supporting tourist bus. And it can also be a reference for design of the skeleton structure and joints on other bus,engineering machinery and agricultural machinery.
