The NEPE propellant has attracted much attention in the reseach and application field because of its energy characteristics, combustion characteristics and excellentat mechanical properties at either high and low temperature. That is to say, it has combined the advantages of both double-base propellant and complex propellant. Therefor, The NEPE has already been the key point in technical development of solid propellant. Recently, the investigation on the NEPE propellant are mainly about the usability and application, such as energy characteristics, anti-aging and so on. But there is few systematic researches on the NEPE propellant curing system.The research in this paper bases on the characteristic parameters of main components of NEPE propellant curing system and introduces the ideas of formulating of recipe. Through the investigation on the mechanical properties, glass state temperature and crosslinking density, the formula optimization approach of NEPE propellant bonder matrix is obtained. Accordingly, this work can provide theoretical and methodological guidance for the formulation development of NEPE propellant.The characteristic parameters of the main components of NEPE propellant curing system was obtained through the measurement and calculation process. By measuring the reactivity of polyether/PI, bonding agent/PI and stabilizer/PI, the curing reaction activation energy of the three systems were 24.96kJ/mol、43.27 kJ/mol、9.1 kJ/mol respectively. And the curing parameters formula RT=PcfI-fI/fH was confirmed according to the gel point prediction theory which provided theoretical guidance for the designing and checking of formulating of recipe. The matrixes with different curing parameters, a low molecular weight polyether or stabilizer MNA were investigated on the mechanical properties, glass state temperature and crosslinking density, respectively. The results showed that the curing parameters had great effect on cross-linked network structure of matrix. Adding low molecular weight polyether could reduce the effective chain length significantly while improve the mechanical properties of the matrix at the same time. And the mono-functional compound MNA could affect the mechanical properties by reducing the crosslinking density of the matrix.Through systematic study on NEPE propellant curing system, the data sheet of characteristic parameters of the main components and the curing parameters formula were achieved. Simultaneity, the ideas of adhesive formulating of recipe were designed. These conclusions can provide theoretical guidance to formula optimization approach of NEPE propellant adhesive matrix, especially to the design and checking of the formulating of recipe.
