In recent years, higher vocational education with its technical and applied talents training school characteristics are gradually gaining social widely recognized and accepted. National emphasis on Higher Vocational Education and support, higher vocational education fast, the scale has been an unprecedented expansion, increasing number of students play, to the work of students’ management challenges, as the student dormitory management an important part of student management work also faces severe test. The basic needs of accommodation can be satisfied by increasing the construction of dormitory hardware facilities, but the students dormitory management is a systematic project, difficult problems, the traditional dormitory management using paper +Excel auxiliary way, there is a high efficiency, low efficiency, data management information is not accurate, accommodation resources can not accurately grasp the waste of resources, unreasonable and other issues. How to for students to provide high-quality, personalized service accommodation, how to efficiently manage the dormitory, become one of the most difficult problems facing the current vocational college dorm. With the development of higher vocational education and the rapid development of information technology, it provides an important theoretical basis, technical support and implementation of the way to solve this problem. Taking Kunming Vocational and Technical College of Industry as an example, this paper studies and analyzes the methods of building the higher vocational college dormitory management system and improving the management efficiency of the dormitory.This thesis introduces the research background, the project significance, the current research and application status of Kunming Vocational and Technical College of Industry dormitory management system, and identifies the main work and research contents. In the business analysis, the existing problems of system, organizations, the original business processes are analyzed in this thesis, and then the optimized business processes are given. In the function analysis, through the use case analysis and use case descriptions, the thesis identifies the system functions, and gives the system function package diagram and sub-function package diagrams, including student accommodation management, daily management of the apartment, apartment safety and health inspection management, apartment facility goods maintenance management, system management, basic data management and hydroelectric apartment payment management sub packets. In the data analysis, the data of the system needs to process is analyzed, the entity class relationship diagram is given, and the database tables’structure is established. At last, the research and analysis are summarized. The future work to do is also prospected in this thesis.
