In the face of highly competitive markets and constant pressure to satisfy customer’s uncertainty demand, fashion enterprises today consider supply chain management to be the key area where profit propagates. The fashion enterprises must make a connection with others (upstream and downstream) and enforce supply chain management in order to exceed their counterparts in the market. During the establishing of supply chain, different information level of enterprises and different develop time of information system lead to semantic heterogeneous systems, which hiders the information exchanging among the systems. Ontology is an intelligence technology, which belongs to knowledge engineering, and it provides an alternative to information exchanging among heterogeneous systems. By establishing the knowledge-sharing base, which performs translating function, a common view to one thing, which is expressed in different terms, was obtained among the systems. Semantic problem is solved by ontology, followed which the transmission of information is up to XML technology. It is known to all that XML is an extensible markup Language, which is recognized a data exchanging standard on web. So an ontology based supply chain management model was established by incorporating XML in this paper. Firstly, the fashion ontology was constructed, during which the knowledge-sharing base was detailed simultaneously, including dialect collecting, concept classifying, category clarifying, property defining, example constructing and ontology evaluating. Then interoperation process was simulated, after which the realization of key technologies followed, including concept transferring, semantic converting, relationship reasoning, data base interface connecting. In the final, a fashion industry was exemplified, and interoperating among semantic heterogeneous systems was realized.
