In July of2009, when inspecting in Yunnan province, General Secretary HuJintao pointed out,“to build Yunnan province as a ‘bridgehead’ open to SoutheastAsia, South Asia and the Mekong region". In my opinion, in order to implement theimportant instruction of the Secretary-General and build Yunnan province as a‘bridgehead’ open to Southwest of China, we must attach great importance to theimprovement of financial service ability in Yunnan Province.Bridgehead construction, Yunnan opening up to the southwest, has experiencedthe hard course of three years. The most important part of bridgehead construction isthe construction of infrastructure. In the past3years, all states, cities and countieshave rolled out the infrastructure construction scale, but currently they are facing thegrim situation. Among them, financing problem is a main barrier to restrictbridgehead construction. In the construction of financial service system in Yunnan,seriously lagging development of small and medium-sized financial institutions is theimportant restricting factor of breadth and depth development of Yunnan financialservices.
