Repeated outbreaks of the international energy crisis make the world’s economy and politics be affected badly, which attracted all the countries’attention. As the world’s greatest power, the United States lead the pace of the world in many aspects.Barack Obama is America’s current leader. At the beginning of his new job,he focused on energy as his policy direction. To some extent, this could be a new beacon for the future development of the world. This article stated the background of the formation of Obama’s energy policy and the specific content of his new energy policy. At the same time, the advantages and defects of new energy policy is analyzed by discussing some changes of U.S. energy policy during Mr Obama’s two-term President of the United States. Based on the current implementation of Mr Obama’s new energy policy, this paper has boldly predicted the future trends of U.S. energy policy.Since1970s, although every U.S. president paid their attention to energy issues in varying degrees, few of them get rewards in the field of energy. Mr Obama’s clean energy policies re-integrated America’s energy structure, which not only gave hope to America’s energy independence, but also brought a global impact. Those oil-producing countries’ dominant status may shake in the field of energy. The old energy pattern will be changed without being bounded by traditional limitations of geography and economy. Mr Obama’s new energy policy will give a wake-up call about the energy reform to all countries in the world, including China.Obama’s new energy policy brought America a new energy future, which is a valuable reference for China. In the future, each tiny changes of U.S. energy policy will affect all the countries in the world.
