Inventory management is an important part of supply chain management. Nowadays in the increasingly intense market competition environment, the relationship between inventory management and the overall interests of the whole supply chain is very close. This makes a greater influence on the core competence of enterprise. Therefore, it is of great meaning and effect to make research on how to establish effective inventory management strategy, reduce the inventory management cost of the corporate and lessen the inventory of the corporate, thus enhancing the core competence, supply chain managing level and customer service level of the whole corporate.This thesis mainly contraposes two-stage inventory system composes by central warehouse and regional warehouse within the enterprise under random demand, applies the (t. S) replenishment strategy and takes into account carload and part-load traffic cost in the transportation process and builds two different models respectively under two modes not-establishing central warehouse and establishing central warehouse. By means of contrastive analysis of two modes not-establishing central warehouse and establishing central warehouse, the thesis tries to make sure whether we should adopt the inventory strategy of establishing central warehouse in the inventory system within the enterprise in order to reduce the inventory management cost of the corporate for the reasonable planning of inventory strategy to the decision makers.
