| The theme of this dissertation is to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the transportation resources of Shanghai Hongqiao CBD, and by way of SWOT analysis paradigm, we make an overall comparison based on the experience of CBD development in developed countries and China.The theme is arisen from the development of CBD in China, In recent years, in order to ease the traffic pressure of central urban area and improve city’s competitiveness, many cities in China determine the strategy of developing CBD and continuously input more in transportation infrastructure in CBD area. In this condition, study how to integrate many transportation resources and make them complement with each other is a good way to release the traffic jam in CBD area.By way of collecting data on CBD development in China and abroad, analyzing their transportation infrastructure construction and traffic characteristics, we draw the conclusion that with large areas of land development, dense population, especially the large number of floating population, the traffic pressure in CBD is greater than that of other areas. International experience shows that transportation resources have become a key factor determining CBD development level.As an example, this dissertation does a SWOT analysis on the transportation resources of Hongqiao CBD, and then proposes the methods and strategies of improving the overall transportation resources which include:improving the road transport system, building rail transit as the main public transport system, establishing all-in-one traffic management mechanisms and platforms, optimizing the regional spatial layout, refining slow-moving traffic and static traffic system. In summary, this dissertation does an overall analysis of the transportation resources of Hongqiao CBD and proposes methods and strategies to improve the CBD transportation, which serves as a model for the transportation planning of other CBDs and similar areas. |
