Establishment Of Sino - Russian Free Trade Zone

In the China’s new round of opening, it is urgent need to further expand the open content and form on the depth and breadth under the reconstruction of global economy and trade pattern and the crucial period of transition of economic development in China, In the 17 th and 18 th Congress meeting in China and the third plenary session of the 18 th session of the central political bureau collective learning, our leaders emphasizes the construction of free trade area as a national development strategy to implement a new round of further opening to the outside world. In 2014, at the first time meeting heads of state, Xi put forward the idea of “ building the silk road economic belt with President Vladimir Putin and Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, and achieved a high degree of "build China-Russia-Mongolia economic corridor” which provides an important opportunity to achieve regional economic integration between China,Mongolia and Russia. There are a strong economic complementarities among the three countries, and the potential and space has not been fully tapped. Building regional economic integration can effectively release the trade potential among this three countries, and be better able to play the three respective comparative advantage, which has important strategic significance.This paper includes five chapters:The first part mainly discusses the research background and strategic significance of establishing the free trade zone among China, Mongolia and Russia, as well as dissert some relevant research literatures of free trade zone studied by some scholars at home and abroad. The second part mainly elaborates on the related theories of free trade zone. The third chapter mainly analyzes the trade status quo of China, Russia and Mongolia. The fourth part mainly analyzes the realistic foundation of establishing the free trade zone, and uses the trade gravity model to empirical analysis. The finally part put forward some policy Suggestions to establish receive free trade zone among China, Mongolia and Russia.
