China and ASEAN countries are typical agricultural countries, agriculture in the national economy has a very important position,so agricultural trade has become a key area of bilateral trade cooperationin between China and ASEAN countries. The " early harvest plan",which began in 2004,has enabled the issue of tariffs on agricultural products to be lifted, then the establishment of the free trade zone in 2010,all the tariffs of the agriculture product had been lifted. The reduction of tariff barriers and the optimized terms of trade have led to the rapid development of bilateral trade in agricultural products. The trade volume has increased from US $5,534 million in 2004 to US $30.56 billion in 2015.Both China and ASEAN are important partners in agricultural trade for each other, but China's agricultural trade deficit with ASEAN has been always there. Therefore,it is necessary to study the competition and complementarity in the agricultural trade between China and ASEAN countries. The research idea of this paper is to summarize the current situation and characteristics of agricultural trade between China and ASEAN countries over the years, and then make an empirical analysis of the competition and complementarity in bilateral trade. Finally, from the perspective of China, analyze the impact for China from the bilateral agriculture trade, and propose some relevant policy recommendations for these impacts. The empirical analysis of competition and complementarity is based on the empirical analysis of the competitiveness index, the comparative comparative advantage index, the intra-industry trade index and the trade complementarity index, combined with the data of bilateral agricultural trade, and get a comprehensive conclusion of bilateral trade in agricultural products presented in the competitive and complementary relationship. The results show that the ASEAN countries have more advantages than China in the export of agricultural products. The vast majority of agricultural products in China do not have comparative advantages. In terms of complementarity, the trade in agricultural products is dominated by intra-industry trade,in some parts of some countries. The complementarity of agricultural products is obvious. Therefore, this coexistence of competition and complementarity of the trade, let the bilateral agricultural trade on China's agricultural products also have two sides, the positive impact is that the trade volume increasing and incoming increasing, enriching the market types of agricultural products stimulating Chinese enterprises to enhance innovation Capacity and so on,and negative impact is mainly concentrated in the domestic agricultural market share by the ASEAN countries continue to squeeze the agricultural products, small or in the early stages of development of agricultural enterprises have been hit,and zero tariffs have also led to the reduction of national customs tariff income. Therefore,in view of these effects, some suggestions are put forward to improve the enterprise's innovation ability, strengthen the government's policy help and improve the scientific research input of agricultural products. Finally, the full text summarized in conclusion.
