A Study On The Measurement And Conformity Of Regional Industrial Isomorphism

Industrial isomorphism is that industrial structure occur similar phenomenon in different areas of economic development. However, scholars have very serious differences of opinion among the causes, extent, and even the desirability of countermeasures of industrial isomorphism, which extremely beneficial for the industry with a correct understanding of structure and governance issues. Therefore, the author takes Industrial isomorphism as the research object, and analyzes industrial isomorphism degree and desirability of various provincial administrative. I believe that the study is helpful to correct understanding and treatment of Industrial isomorphism helpful.Firstly, I comb and comment the literature about the causes, extent, and even the desirability of countermeasures of industrial isomorphism, then build the theoretical framework of this paper from the aspects. Secondly, I use the structural similarity index measuring the degree of industrial isomorphism of 31 provinces and 8 economic zones, and desirability using shift-share analysis. Finally, I give suggestions about controlling of industrial isomorphism problem. By Provinces of China Industrial isomorphic analysis, I think cause of the provinces industrial isomorphism from a wide range of reasons, mainly regional endowment, stage of economic development, institutional and policy factors. While the industry isomorphic measure showed that there was room of the regional industrial isomorphism problem, but not, as some studies suggest that less severe, and over time, there has been signs of abating. Sector analysis results, the impact of differences in industry for the economic development of the economic zone is large, in which the three major economic zones east have a clear competitive advantage in the tertiary industry; regional competitiveness western two major economic zones is gradually upgrade, especially the Southwest economic Zone to show a good momentum of development. Regional Competitiveness western two major economic zones are gradually improved, especially in the Southwest Economic Zone to show a good momentum of development; Northeast Economic Zone and the Central Comprehensive two economic zones in the industrial structure and competitive advantage mediocre, only in have certain competitive advantages in the industry. Shows that China’s industrial structure and cities have their own advantages, the development and implementation of industrial policy should promote regional advantages of the region. By analyzing the desirability of industrial isomorphism, I believe that industrial isomorphism problem is not as seriously as some studies suggest. But it exist that the negative impact of the industry is isomorphic to regional economic development, which shows that our industry is non-isomorphic desirable. The local government should development and implement industrial policy to promote regional specialization of the region.
