An Analysis Of The Impact Of Internet Finance On Commercial Banks

This paper is focus on the impact of Internet Finance on commercial banks. Firstly, it gives a comprehensive review of the concepts and types of Internet Finance. The paper refers to the broad Internet Finance, which is based on the "Internet thinking". Also, Internet Finance in the paper is divided into three formats: third-party payment, online credit and online financial investment. After introducing development and characteristics of Internet Finance home and abroad, three formats of Internet Finance were clarified deeply, especially, analyzing their impacts on traditional commercial banking. Then from the perspective of a combination of theoretical analysis and case studies, the paper selects Zhifubao, Ali Xiaodai, and Yuebao as typical practical cases which correspond to three formats of Internet Finance. Then the key factors that how could Ali financial model get success are summarized. Finally, the paper comes up with suggestions that commercial bank how to deal with challenges of Internet Finance.This paper uses a variety of research methods, such as the combination of theory and case studies, comparative study of domestic and foreign countries. Besides, it is supported by chart analysis, comparative analysis, literature analysis, statistical analysis, etc. It aims to explain the impacts of Internet Finance as deep as possible, and provide recommendation for commercial banks.
