An Analysis Of The Effect Of Productive Service Industry On Economic Growth In Beijing

During the 1950 s, the function of producer services has changing, from the initial management function, transfer to the promoting function, and later gradually to today’s strategic role(propeller). Since the 1970 s, in the process of the change of industrial structure in developed countries, the development velocity of the third industry has been faster than that of the second industry, at the same time, the third industry internal has also appeared some division of labor to some degree. Producer services, as a significant representative of the modern service industry, gradually become a new growth pole of economic development and gradually become the most significant department of the system in the national economy growth effect. Its level of development is increasingly becoming one of the important indicators of the level of a country or regional economic competitiveness. As the most dynamic and has the most radiation effect in the modern service industry, producer services has achieved an unprecedented development. The development of producer services within the scope of major economies has become the main force to pull economic growth.In our country, the development of related industry is just at the beginning, and the construction of infrastructure and supporting system is not very perfect, as the relative lag of the development of producer services, the whole transaction costs of our society is 10% higher than that of the developed countries. Thus lower the comprehensive competitiveness of our country’s economy. Therefore, developing the producer services has a strong role in promoting the transformation of the mode of economic growth in China and improve the quality of economic growth.Beijing has the advantages of talent and capital, but a shortage of space resources such as land. So Beijing has the advantages in the development of the productive service industry. In recent years, Beijing also made some remarkable achievements. During the period of "11th five-year plan", the size of productive service industry has gradually expanded, the total amount of producer services is more than half than the last plan period and accounted for nearly half of all economic activity in Beijing. Gradually formed a pattern that producer services dominate the economic growth. In this paper, in reference to related literature, on the basis of summary and research results, using overall and concrete producer services industries of Beijing as the research object, by using descriptive statistics and econometric models related to the theory, tries to study how to implement a developed area according to the characters of resources endowment to realize the development of modern service industry, and empirical research of Beijing producer services on economic growth and spillover effect. The last, put forward some policy suggestions on how to achieve better and faster increase of producer services in order to drive economic growth in Beijing, we must attach importance to the high added value, high technology content, low consumption modern service industry’s development, increase the radiation effect of it to surrounding areas in Beijing, promoting the fundamentals of industrial structure.
