The development of Chinese petroleum equipment manufacturing is mainly depending on the significant development of oil and nature gas industry. So far. the product is able to supply domestic market demand, but the special product still to rely heavily on imports. At present, the Chinese petroleum equipment manufacturing is starting to take shape. Under the circumstance such as higher oil prices, producing firmly in the old oil field, and the development of offshore oilfield, the petroleum equipment manufacturing market become more active than ever. In addition to the market a competitive, the research on the quality management evaluation index system for petroleum enterprise is timely and necessarily.In this paper, based on a detailed inspection of domestic and abroad durability analysis of quality management theory, national quality award criteria, previous research results and quality management practice of the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry, fourteen main impact factors of quality management are introduced. And on this foundation, the appraisal system assessing the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry quality performance is established. Through integrating information get by questionnaire survey, five comprehensive quality management factors are extracted by reducing the dimension. After that, the structural equation model assessing the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry quality performance is established.For analyzing the model and proving the stability of SEM. this article fully has utilized the mathematical statistics and statistical analysis software. In the valuation, there is four steps. The first step, make a validity and reliabi’ity analysis on the questionnaire to prove that the date get by questionnaire is adequate for a deeper statistical analysis such as weighted least squares and partial least squares. The second step, the path coefficient and fitting coefficient of the model are estimated by weighted least squares. The analysis results show a low degree of fitting. The third step, the path coefficient and fitting coefficient of the model are estimated by partial least squares and the analysis results show the mutual relationship among the variable. The last step, the comparative analysis has been used to testify which model has wider applicability between LISREL-SEM and PLS-SEM. Moreover, with a comparative analysis of large sample analysis result and small sample analysis result, the article validates the effect of sample size.On the basis of analysis results, the improvement strategy of quality performance is concluded to four aspects:leadership, quality system performance, employee satisfaction and quality management information system. And the improve strategy of each aspect has been suggested in this paper for reference.
