In recent years, the world economy shows signs of recovery and gradual growth, but global economic growth shows imbalance trend. The trend of globalization, informatization and the liberalization for the development of finance will further strengthen. Vietnam’s economy, industrialization, marketization, urbanization, internationalization and modernization process continues to accelerate, by maintaining a high economic growth rate. Vietnam’s domestic financial sector reforms have intensified innovation. Variety of banking systems and financial institutions coexist with multi-level and multi-functional financial market system. An increasingly competitive financial industry standardized the financial system.Vietnam’s banking industry essentially started in1990. From a mono-banking system, it has grown tremendously to become a crowded network of banks and non-bank institutions in just23years. Currently, there are5state-owned commercial banks (SOCBs),34joint-stock commercial banks (JSCBs), four joint-venture banks (JVBs), five100%foreign owned banks,100foreign bank branches and representative office,18finance companies,12financial lease companies, and almost1,100cooperative credit funds. The largest bank in terms of total assets and network is Agribank (VBARD), in terms of capital it is Vietinbank (CTG). But compared with regional peers, Vietnamese banks are still quite modest.Currently, the influence of financial business activities of commercial banks is growing, the flow of money in the financial community as a whole had an important impact, has developed methods and tools for important national macroeconomic regulation. With the emergence of the current Vietnamese commercial bank credit management problems, only commercial banks to strengthen credit management, and constantly adjust the credit structure, control credit risk, interest rate and improve the integrity of the credit system, to be able to improve all-round economic society, promote development of financial markets.This paper focuses on the status quo of Vietnamese commercial bank credit management studies, research is divided into six parts. The first is the introduction, which discusses the background and significance of the research, the dynamic analysis of domestic and foreign commercial banks in Vietnam Credit Management Research, and the second part is related to the theoretical basis, combined with the basic concepts of the current commercial banks, as well as the concepts and basic principles of credit management functions, focuses on the main content of the current commercial bank credit management:credit fund raising management, loan management, deposit and lending rates and credit risk management. The third part is the status of Vietnamese commercial bank credit management analysis, as a key part of the current research, combined with the development of the commercial banks in Vietnam overview of the status of Vietnamese commercial bank credit management conducted a comprehensive analysis of the current and proposed commercial bank credit management in Vietnam the main problems, including cross-ownership issues; commercial banks do not fully comply with Basel Ⅰ; raise funds does not meet the demand for loans and investments; total loans category set unreasonable; capital capability as well as restrictions; levels of non-performing assets fuzzy reported; bank loans monitoring problems; credit risk management issues. The fourth part is the internal and external factors affecting the Vietnamese commercial bank credit management analysis. The fifth part is the management countermeasures Vietnamese commercial bank credit, mainly from improvements in Vietnam to establish political, economic and social environment, improve asset-backed commercial bank disposal regulations, loan structure designed to improve the professionalism of credit staff to improve risk identification capabilities, appropriate aspects of credit risk management procedures for Vietnamese commercial bank credit management improvement and reform. Finally, conclusions and outlook for the lack of research, conclusions and future research were discussed. Research to improve the Vietnamese commercial bank credit management provides a theoretical basis, there are certain practical significance.
