Biotechnology industry, as an emerging industry of our country, has actively provided notonly a good protection to the environment and ecological civilization construction but also thepower for social and economic development. With the constant researches and explorations intothe ecological environmental protection projects, the bio-tech companies has made someachievements, demonstrating their leading roles. More and more companies, driven by externalecological environment destruction and internal economic transformation, began to take neweconomic routes and the social responsibility to protect the environment in the management andactively explore ecological investment projects.Environmental cost-benefit analysis of ecological investment projects arises at the historicmoment. Unlike traditional investment project, the environmental cost-benefit analysis can notonly measure the direct economic benefits, but also give the social and environmental benefitvaluation, finally assess the comprehensive benefit, laying the foundation for the enterprise’scomprehensive strategy development. Earthworms biological recycling project in this article isan ecological investment project based on earthworm biological recycling technology, aiming atthe disposal of organic solid wastes. The project takes in the local organic solid waste, turns itinto useful things and save waste disposal fees at the same time. This has also gained financialbenefits, social and ecological benefits with a low cost. Taking the environment protection as itsstarting point, WX company aims to extend the management project, adjust the industrialstructure and achieve efficiency. To realize this aim, it brought in the earthworm biologicalrecycling project in2013. Based on sustainable development theory and ecological economictheory, this paper makes an analysis on the environment cost, economic benefits, socialbenefits and environmental benefits. It tries to evaluate the earthworm biological recyclingproject through the quantitative and qualitative analysis, using chromatography analysis onenvironment cost/benefit index evaluation and economic evaluation index, such as net presentvalue of NPV, payback period, return on investment). Finally it is concluded that the project is acombination of scientific research, production, sales, and various aspects of the comprehensivemanagement. It is also a integrative program of the practicability and reliability and hugepotential for further development.
