An Analysis Of The Impact Of Foreign Trade On The Upgrading Of Industrial Structure In Shandong Province

Scholars found that there is a close relationship between foreign trade developmentand industrial structure when they study the relationship between foreign trade andindustrial structure, most of them support the point of foreign trade can promoteupgrading of industrial structure.Since the reform and opening up, Shandongprovince has made great achievements in foreign trade. However, the proportion oflabor-intensive products is very large on the structure of China’s foreign trade of theproduct, the prevalence of these products just like the added value of these products isvery low, products price is low and other issues. How to carry out industrialrestructuring and upgrading through the development of foreign trade in theenvironment of international industrial transfer is a very worthwhile study. Thesiscombines the current structure of foreign trade and industry in Shandong province,and then study the impact of foreign trade development in Shandong provinceindustrial structure upgrading from both theoretical and empirical.The structure of the paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter is anintroduction, including background and significance of the research paper topics,review current research, research methods, the frame structure, innovation andpending issues for further research.The second chapter is a review of Foreign Trade and the industrial structure theoryand concepts. This chapter defines some concepts firstly, and then describes thetraditional comparative advantage theory, international trade theory, product life cycletheory, infant industry protection theory, strategic trade policy with respect to foreigntrade industry structure in relation to the theoretical basis, the last detail the foreigntrade promotion mechanism of upgrading industrial structure.The third chapter describes the current situation and status quo of industrialstructure of foreign trade in Shandong province through the collection and analysis.The fourth chapter is empirical analysis of foreign trade in Shandong Provinceindustrial impact, chapter by establishing logarithmic regression model to empiricaltesting methods to verify the relationship between Shandong Province and exporttrade and industrial structure, and then analyze how time foreign trade in ShandongProvince effect of industrial structure.The fifth chapter is based on the above empirical analysis concluded thatrationalization proposals put forward in Shandong province upgrading industrial structure and Shandong province should accelerate the pace of development offoreign trade through the development of foreign trade to promote industrialupgrading: promote foreign trade system of Shandong province; strong brandstrategy；use of foreign strategic change；further optimize the structure of exportproducts；and further optimize the structure of imported goods；accelerate trade inservices.Article concluded as follows: The development of foreign trade in Shandongprovince promotes the development of tertiary industry, and did not play a role inpromoting the first, second industry. Thus Shandong province should speed up thepace of development of foreign trade by increasing the proportion of tertiary industryin the industrial structure, to promote industrial upgrading.
