The Research On The Influence Of Service Trade Development Of Shandong Province To Industrial Structure

Since the1990s, with the growing number of WTO membercountries, barriers of International Trade tend to weaken constantly,leading that the globalization of trade trends continue to strengthen. Thenthe competition field of International Trade is expanding from traditionalMerchandise Trade to emerging trade in services. Due to thecharacteristics of Service Trade, it is different from the MerchandiseTrade on the role of promoting the economic development of a country.Development of Service Trade is conducive to the upgrading of theeconomic structure of a country. So far the Western developed countrieshave attached great importance to Service Trade,ascending up to thestrategic level, as a new driver to improve their internationalcompetitiveness, optimize the industrial structure, and boost nationaleconomic development. In this context, China’s trade in service havedeveloped rapidly during the recent years. Meanwhile, ShandongProvince as an important province of China’s eastern coastal areas,owning the unique geographical advantages. So maintaining thefoundation of the province of Traditional Merchandise trade is animportant means to propel the development of trade in services, through avariety of ways, so as to promote economic development and industryupgrading of Shandong Province. Firstly，this article makes clear the interpretation of the service andits own characteristics, then describes the concept and scope of theservices trade. On this basis, it analyze the economic effects broughtabout Service Trade from a theoretical point of view, thereby it transits tothe effects which Service Trade has on the industrial structure.Secondly, through the collected database, it makes comprehensiveanalysis of the Service Trade and the industrial structure in ShandongProvince. By using the related knowledge and tools of the econometrics,itestablished the regression model, and analyzes quaintly the relevancebetween Service Trade and the industrial structure in Shandong Provincefrom the following three factors: the net imports of Service Trade thethree industries, Service Trade and the output value of three industries. Inthe process of empirical analysis,we introduce the entropy number ofindicators as a standard to measure the changes in the industrial structure.Finally, according to the results of the empirical analysis, this articleproposed the policies for developing Service Trade combined with theobjective reality of Shandong Province, which is conducive to theoptimization of the industrial structure in Shandong Province.
