Family financial inclusion is an important part of financial inclusion system, can better solve the problem of sustainability of financial development. Expand the scope of financial services cover, make sure that all the people enjoy safe and convenient financial services, in order to achieve.In addition to the poor, the purpose of promoting balanced economic growth. Traditional financial unsustainable due to its inherent defect, financial inclusion is not only a response to this problem, in practice, the transformation of the pattern of economic development in our country, improving the socialist market economic system, economic and social sustainable development, is of great significance.In this paper, based on the theory of financial inclusion, in 2011, the Chinese family financial investigation(CHFS) data as the research object, using the Ordered Probit model to empirical research on the small and medium-sized financial institutions in promoting the role of family financial inclusion. The study found that:(1) the formal financial services in different family income distribution is not equal, partial financial inclusion inequality of the rich;(2) the development of small and medium-sized financial institutions to promote the all family financial inclusion level of ascension, but the positive effect is mainly manifested in the use of the basic financial services such as deposits, loans, and for the use of complex financial services such as finance, the development of small and medium-sized financial institutions to the families involved in private lending inhibition;(3) the shareholding commercial Banks and city commercial Banks in for low-income families to provide comprehensive financial services play an important role, and rural small and medium-sized financial institutions on all levels of income families use formal financial services had no significant influence.
