Vietnam’s Balance Of Payments Structure Research

The balance of payments as understanding a country’s foreign economic, trade and financial activities of the important analysis tools, also is used to control a country’s macroeconomic activity, macroeconomic goals important reference basis. For facing the deepening of the economic globalization and financial internationalization and gradually speed up the efforts to open the Vietnam for the balance of payments is more and more important. Foreign scholars about the balance of payments problems research started very early, but Vietnam in recent years, scholars began to study of the country’s balance of payments, research problems mainly from the perspective of macro analysis of the relationship between the economy and the international balance of payments. The innovation of this paper is based on the theory of the structure of the balance of payments related to Vietnam balance of payments structure for further detailed analysis.According to the international monetary fund’s balance of payments statistics system, the structure of the balance of payments account, the article focuses on analysis of the structural relationship between Vietnam Balance of payments in the main primary and secondary account, from the overall grasp Balance of payments structure of Vietnam, to understand the balance of international payments, in order to facilitate reasonable policy effectively adjust the balance of payments. This article first from two angles of account flow structure and the balance equilibrium structure analysis of Vietnam’s international balance of payments structure characteristics and the reasons. Research structure shows that the development of Vietnam’s international balance of payments structure stage compared with roughly in theory, the four phases of economist Samuelson appear to "mature debtor country" stage of the development of the structure. In addition, after in-depth research, this paper sums up the real cause of Vietnam’s international balance of payments structure, then to arrange two big account balance empirical analysis to the influence factors of the structure, and find out affect its current account and capital and financial account balance structure of main factors. Finally, put forward the optimization measures on the current account and capital and financial account of Vietnam’s balance of Payments Structure.
