With today’s high-speed economic development, as "the Belt and Road" policy guidance, the western region of railway development in China grow up steadily. In 2014, the central made a decision that deployed the transportation reform measures, The transportation industry wanted to promote the domestic traffic transportation development, the implementation of the measures that makes the stability of transportation. As the western region of transport capacity required to ascend, rail as the main carrier form of transport, west rail network will be reinforced. The western region of mountains have lots of high mountains and lofty hills, and there are many earthquake fault zones. how to keep the railway safety and efficiency when railway cross the valley foothills, also avoid the mountains railway line had error direction or improper forms of the mountains railway. So how to choose the mountain railway through the mountains of earthquake and also evaluate the risks has important significance.In this paper, the main research contents and results are as follows:(1) Analysed the parts of railway, summed up the mountains railway location line strategy method and the basic principles. On the basis of analyzing the composition of the mountains railway, studied the mountains across different parts of a railway line selection method and the basic principles. Study the mountains railway line evaluation method when the railway can’t avoid high-risk the mountains around area.(2) Analysed the mechanism of earthquake mountains railway and summed up the mountains section of railway in mountain area of strong earthquake, it may face the different types of geological disasters earthquake, and analyzed the different disaster damages to the structure of centralized location and its destruction.(3) Study how to combinate The entropy weight method with analytic hierarchy process (ahp).Study the analytic hierarchy process and study how to calculate the risk coefficient of indicators. After the identification of risk factors, the quantitative risk indicators. When railway through the mountain area with strong earthquake, due to the different forms of the mountains, may face the risk of different hazards types, calculated different forms of the mountains with the different risks.(4) Built the project that evaluation model of the earthquake mountains. Calculation the different forms of the mountains corresponding risk portfolio value. The correlation model is discussed with the railway route scheme evaluation in earthquake mountains. Calculated the value of railroad with different structure forms in the mountains.(5) Based on a domestic railway under construction, used the method of mountains railway risk assessment to calculate the mountains railway risk evaluation, evaluated the values of risks when using different structure forms of the mountains.The mountain railway is complex in our country, choosing a safety railway line to reduce geological disasters caused by earthquake that is good for economic and be beneficial to social.
