With the development of global economic integration, consumers prefer to have the products with more styles rather to take many products with only one style. In which case, firms focus on producing the products of more variety and minor batch, while, the manufacture of different products is different; mean while, the market is always changing and the unexpected situations sometimes can happen, all of which are making enterprise harder on scheduling. Job shop scheduling has to adapt quickly to changing market demands which requires the system can be robustness, agility and intelligent. The paper summarizes and analyzes all kinds of job shop scheduling, then establishes and runs the simulation model with Palmer so that I can analyze and compare the Makespan if the firms produce products when the machine is respectively perfect and failed. At the same time, the paper analyzes the changing WIP(work-in-process) chart which is from the simulation model. Second, the paper establishes and runs the simulation model based on GA and SPT(Shortest Processing Time), so that I can analyze and compare the Makespan if the firms produce products when the machine is respectively perfect and failed. At the same time, the paper analyzes the changing WIP(work-in-process) chart which is from the simulation model. Lastly, the paper establishes and runs the simulation model with QLE(Queue Length Estimator) so that I can analyze and compare the Makespan if the firms produce products when the machine is respectively perfect and failed. At the same time, the paper analyzes the changing WIP(work-in-process) chart which is from the simulation model.
